Domain Leasing : Creation Date

Is the creation date, important for a domain name that you use for your business, e-commerce website, or online…

If you have a new business on the Internet. You would want to make sure that you buy or lease a domain name that has an earlier creation date. Then today he, so that you can make it appear that you have been in business longer than you have and be taken more seriously on the Internet as a real business and not just a fly-by-night, flimflam business. The creation date of a domain name is important because the longer it has been around. The more known, it is to people, to search engines, possibly in forums or on blogs. And therefore is like buying an established business even though it is just to name, like say going to town and buying a medical office, for example in getting their client list when you buy in their name. People know the name and gnocchi coming there, and it takes people years to realize that it's a new owner. People are used to shopping at this particular website or going to this particular doctor or business and they keep going there. If you start a new name. You will have to create the buzz, you have to get established on the Internet via blogs, search engines, articles, and find a way to get your business noticed. But if say, you are in business to actually make money in the business you are in than you do not have a couple of years to waste on building up a recognition for a domain name or a website. When your product or services are ready now. And you need to Artie be in the search engines.

Domain names that have this kind of presence on the Internet are usually taken, and they cost a lot of money to buy these names. One option is to lease a domain name or space on a domain name to get your business noticed. You could pick your own domain name like Joe Schmoe.com and build your site exactly the way you want get everything just so and then buy a domain name and either .Joe Schmoe.com after his name that you've bought, if you can afford a high profile domain name. Or if your business is small and cannot afford a high profile domain name, then you you could lease a domain name for your use and you could redirect Joe Schmoe.com to this domain name. The it is lease. Or you could lease a page on this domain name say the website owner has both at a website and they will lease the page to you do whatever you want in on that page you can talk about your business what you do, and talk about your website and put a link to your website. You would control this page by e-mailing the webmaster or what you want on the page, what changes what pictures but you wouldn't actually control how the website is Bill for the way it looked, you could by e-mail but you wouldn't have complete control over to do it on your whim. You can also pay a monthly or yearly rate can have a link from a website that is already established in your targeted business. I pay around $300 a month for links to my website, to get need the traffic that I want. I have got hundreds of times more results from this than the $300 a month I paid for years for a billboard on the highway.

I have also leased a page on someone else's website to put my real estate listings or to advertise might real estate business, I have paid anywhere from 500 to $1500 a month to have these ads placed where they will definitely get noticed. I have spent $500-$1500 a month on shiny real estate magazines in my local area for over five years. And I would have to say that I have got less than 5% effectiveness from these ads. First of all people either have to subscribe to these localized magazines or are they have to do drive through these particular talents to find me. And then they have to like what they see at that exact moment enough to call me. Basically rarely happens. But now that I am advertising on the Internet ID e-mail after e-mail on people interested in my listings, people that may not even have been looking for real estate in my area but were just looking for a nice plays worse, Pacific Place on a lake or river and he came across to mind because authority in the search engines an established. Now if I make a sale, and I did $5-$20000 in commissions from it. And that's only one. And I pay now, $500-$1500 a month to possibly get several leads that lead to this country commission, I would have to say I am doing way better on the Internet than I was in mainstream media such as newspaper magazines and billboards. Not to mention I paid rent in several locations in several towns. The kind of money this cost me was phenomenal. Not only was I paying rent in three locations, but I was paying utility bills, phone bills, gas to get from place to place to check on my businesses. I was paying secretaries in all locations I was paying managers in all locations. Once I went on the Internet I cut out all these locations and simply worked on line now I only have my rent/mortgage at my home, I need clients at the properties or at my home office. I build websites or listings from home, I go I get lots of pictures of the listings and share these with buyers from around the world. We have sold cabins to folks from Japan who have never even seen the property and buy it sight unseen just from the website alone. The Internet opens up the world to you or product. Your real estate for sale. Your services. Your book, or anything that you have to offer. It opens it up to the world and not just to your local area. Never before has there been a time when we could reach so many potential clients are buyers with such little amount of money. So instead of spending hundred thousand dollars a year plus for rent. We overhead and blah blah blah. I now spend $40 a month on DSL and approximately $1000 a year on my websites, the expensive the computer, and I know the expense of gas from driving around with the look he lose, or from land to when I sit down at the office and wait for somebody to come in and when they do they just sit there and talk to me all day about their life story and I can't put work into the seller because I'm sitting there listening to the dreams of the buyers. No offense, but I actually have work to do. And I find this more easily done at home. I no longer spend 20 to $30-$40000 a year on advertising and trying to get people to pay attention to me. I simply diligently work on the Internet and do my thing and people find me, now the money that I spent in advertising online, I know will find me buyers. And I know these people will find me from these ads in a global market. And I do not have to be afraid that I'm throwing money in the wind thousand dollars for two pages in a local shiny pretty little real estate wish book for people to take home and add to their collection of things. They may get some day, and when they finally call at it is wish book prices of either doubled or the real estate is long gone. I now pay for links from other people's websites, and Paley for entire pages on other people's websites, and I paid to be on top of search engines, and I have spent a considerable amount of money on a couple of domain names to build my websites on.
