Domain Leasing : Creation Date

Is the creation date, important for a domain name that you use for your business, e-commerce website, or online…

If you have a new business on the Internet. You would want to make sure that you buy or lease a domain name that has an earlier creation date. Then today he, so that you can make it appear that you have been in business longer than you have and be taken more seriously on the Internet as a real business and not just a fly-by-night, flimflam business. The creation date of a domain name is important because the longer it has been around. The more known, it is to people, to search engines, possibly in forums or on blogs. And therefore is like buying an established business even though it is just to name, like say going to town and buying a medical office, for example in getting their client list when you buy in their name. People know the name and gnocchi coming there, and it takes people years to realize that it's a new owner. People are used to shopping at this particular website or going to this particular doctor or business and they keep going there. If you start a new name. You will have to create the buzz, you have to get established on the Internet via blogs, search engines, articles, and find a way to get your business noticed. But if say, you are in business to actually make money in the business you are in than you do not have a couple of years to waste on building up a recognition for a domain name or a website. When your product or services are ready now. And you need to Artie be in the search engines.

Domain names that have this kind of presence on the Internet are usually taken, and they cost a lot of money to buy these names. One option is to lease a domain name or space on a domain name to get your business noticed. You could pick your own domain name like Joe Schmoe.com and build your site exactly the way you want get everything just so and then buy a domain name and either .Joe Schmoe.com after his name that you've bought, if you can afford a high profile domain name. Or if your business is small and cannot afford a high profile domain name, then you you could lease a domain name for your use and you could redirect Joe Schmoe.com to this domain name. The it is lease. Or you could lease a page on this domain name say the website owner has both at a website and they will lease the page to you do whatever you want in on that page you can talk about your business what you do, and talk about your website and put a link to your website. You would control this page by e-mailing the webmaster or what you want on the page, what changes what pictures but you wouldn't actually control how the website is Bill for the way it looked, you could by e-mail but you wouldn't have complete control over to do it on your whim. You can also pay a monthly or yearly rate can have a link from a website that is already established in your targeted business. I pay around $300 a month for links to my website, to get need the traffic that I want. I have got hundreds of times more results from this than the $300 a month I paid for years for a billboard on the highway.

I have also leased a page on someone else's website to put my real estate listings or to advertise might real estate business, I have paid anywhere from 500 to $1500 a month to have these ads placed where they will definitely get noticed. I have spent $500-$1500 a month on shiny real estate magazines in my local area for over five years. And I would have to say that I have got less than 5% effectiveness from these ads. First of all people either have to subscribe to these localized magazines or are they have to do drive through these particular talents to find me. And then they have to like what they see at that exact moment enough to call me. Basically rarely happens. But now that I am advertising on the Internet ID e-mail after e-mail on people interested in my listings, people that may not even have been looking for real estate in my area but were just looking for a nice plays worse, Pacific Place on a lake or river and he came across to mind because authority in the search engines an established. Now if I make a sale, and I did $5-$20000 in commissions from it. And that's only one. And I pay now, $500-$1500 a month to possibly get several leads that lead to this country commission, I would have to say I am doing way better on the Internet than I was in mainstream media such as newspaper magazines and billboards. Not to mention I paid rent in several locations in several towns. The kind of money this cost me was phenomenal. Not only was I paying rent in three locations, but I was paying utility bills, phone bills, gas to get from place to place to check on my businesses. I was paying secretaries in all locations I was paying managers in all locations. Once I went on the Internet I cut out all these locations and simply worked on line now I only have my rent/mortgage at my home, I need clients at the properties or at my home office. I build websites or listings from home, I go I get lots of pictures of the listings and share these with buyers from around the world. We have sold cabins to folks from Japan who have never even seen the property and buy it sight unseen just from the website alone. The Internet opens up the world to you or product. Your real estate for sale. Your services. Your book, or anything that you have to offer. It opens it up to the world and not just to your local area. Never before has there been a time when we could reach so many potential clients are buyers with such little amount of money. So instead of spending hundred thousand dollars a year plus for rent. We overhead and blah blah blah. I now spend $40 a month on DSL and approximately $1000 a year on my websites, the expensive the computer, and I know the expense of gas from driving around with the look he lose, or from land to when I sit down at the office and wait for somebody to come in and when they do they just sit there and talk to me all day about their life story and I can't put work into the seller because I'm sitting there listening to the dreams of the buyers. No offense, but I actually have work to do. And I find this more easily done at home. I no longer spend 20 to $30-$40000 a year on advertising and trying to get people to pay attention to me. I simply diligently work on the Internet and do my thing and people find me, now the money that I spent in advertising online, I know will find me buyers. And I know these people will find me from these ads in a global market. And I do not have to be afraid that I'm throwing money in the wind thousand dollars for two pages in a local shiny pretty little real estate wish book for people to take home and add to their collection of things. They may get some day, and when they finally call at it is wish book prices of either doubled or the real estate is long gone. I now pay for links from other people's websites, and Paley for entire pages on other people's websites, and I paid to be on top of search engines, and I have spent a considerable amount of money on a couple of domain names to build my websites on.

Domain Name in Marketing

Domain Names
At first glance, you probably think picking domain names is the easiest step involved in starting a site. In truth, domain names are critical in determining
whether you will succeed or fail.

Domain Names
You might find it strange that we have a section of articles on domain names. After all, don’t you just use your business name or think up something that is catchy? No! As with much of the web, domain names relate directly to your marketing, particularly
if you pursue search engine optimization.
What is a domain name? It is simply your web address. Much like the address for an office or home, it tells people how to find you on the web. The domain is actually a URL, which stands for uniform resource locator. It is a hypertext linking device that points to a particular part of the web where your server is located. In relation to an office address in the physical world, the home page domain is the equivalent of pointing to a particular office building.
Most people think the words comprising a domain are the fundamental elements of it. This is incorrect. A domain is really a set of numbers that look something like .338599.com. When a domain is created, set words are assigned to the number. The reason for this, of course, is nobody would be able to remember a bunch of numbers if words were not used.
What are Domain Name TLDs?
When you start working on the web, you will quickly realize it has a language of its own. In this case, we are talking about abbreviations. So, what are domain name TLDs?

Domain names are much like the address for your home. The sections of a domain can be broken down into a name, which is indicated by the words between the www and com. The street address is also present, but more difficult to see. It is the numbers that the word, marketingtitan, mask. The end of the domain name is the zip code,
and is represented by .com, .org and so on.

Catchy Domain Names vs Keyword Domains
When it is time to lease a domain name, the tendency is to run out and purchase a domain incorporating your business name. This is a mistake. Unless you have a very popular business, you business name is not going to help you pull traffic to your site. Whether it is buying a domain name or designing your site, you should always be thinking about pulling traffic to the site. It is by far the most important aspect of your marketing.

Niche Internet Marketing

Niche Market – Search Engines
Once you have identified a niche market and built a site, you need to start thinking about Internet marketing. Search engines present the best marketing platform on a dollar for dollar basis. There are two specific ways to go about the process.

Pay-per-click advertising on search engines is a great way to immediately reach your target audience. Google Adwords and Overture represent the two best ppc platforms. Place ads using these two platforms and the ads will appear on the search results for Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and a host of other search engines.

The second platform for getting in front of your niche market on the search engines is search engine optimization, better known as seo. The goal in seo is to identify the keyword phrases your prospects are using to find things. You then try to get your site ranked in the top three or four positions when the relevant search engines return results for any of the searches. The upside of seo is you don’t pay for advertising and rankings tend to stay high once you achieve them. The downside is it can take a couple of months before you appear high in MSN rankings and up to a year on Google.

Regardless of the approach you take on the search engines, your focus on a niche market gives you a huge advantage. By focusing on a niche, you have limited the number of competitors you must take on. It is far easier and cheaper to market to “San Diego Mortgage Loans” than going after “Mortgage Loans.” The first phrase has a limited number of competitors while the second phrase is contested by huge sites with lots of advertising dollars. To this end, make sure you stick to your niche when pursuing your marketing. If you offer services in a location, only advertise for keywords incorporating that location. Having a person three states over call you is just a waste of time.

Adverting for a niche market on the search engines is inexpensive compared to general markets. It is also easier and quicker to get seo listings.

future of Online Marketing

What Is The Future of Online Marketing
E-commerce has grown by leaps and bounds and continues to set new marks every year. As comfortable as you and I might be using the Internet, it is really only in its infancy. As huge as Google is, it was only created in 1998. My, how far we have come!

As the Internet continues to grow, the future of online marketing is a much discussed subject. There is little doubt the future is bright. As more people join up with digital revolution, e-commerce continues to grow. Still, one can’t help but acknowledge Internet users are becoming more sophisticated, particularly as a younger generation moves into adulthood.

Online marketing is currently a bit of a mess. Remnants of the old, such as banner ads and email marketing, are clearly one their way out. Banner ads produce horrific click through rates because people are wary of getting stuck on a site they can’t get away from. Email marketing is tainted by problems such as spam, phishing scams and identity theft concerns. Personally, I delete all email that isn’t from a person I know or coded to show me an inquiry directly off Marketing Titan for a consultation. It is just too risky.

The dominant models now are pay-per-click advertising and search engine optimization. Search engine optimization will be around as long as people use search engines. The promise of free traffic is simply too glorious to ignore. Since it is fairly difficult to commit fraud in search engine optimization, it is difficult to see any future legal issues threatening it.

Pay-per-click advertising [“ppc”] has a less clear future. The primary problem is click fraud. Click fraud occurs when a ppc ad is artificially. The only intention of the clicker is to cost the advertiser money. Some estimate the percentage of fraudulent clicks on ppc platforms runs as high as forty percent. If true, this theoretically means you could take forty percent of your advertising budget, use it as toilet paper and get the same sales results. Pretty scary, eh?

So, what is the future of online marketing in light of the above comments? In my personal view, search engine optimization will remain the dominant online marketing method. PPC will also continue, but will be modified into something used to conquer click fraud. I also think information publishing in the form of free copyright articles
will become more and more dominant.

Combined, these three platforms represent the future of online marketing. Of course, nobody could have foreseen the explosion of EBay ten years ago, so we may
all be surprised by where things stand in five or ten years.
